ests 2001!!

ok...here is the display of the southern islands, the tournament prizes, sets of cards from all over the world and the giant trainer cards from various sts qualifiers.

here we have a variety of pics from all around the area...the tv covering the events on the main stage (the guy in the jester hat rememebered ech from last year!) and various shots of the different areas, both for play and other events. it seemed a lot more relaxed in atmosphere this year than last..maybe because we werent competing today ;) but, it's been a fun day so far.

for those of you with slow modems, now i'm going to talk again! here are some shots of the tournament area and the gyms. ech and i actually got to play in the gyms this year. i love the two day format. if you got ten stamps in one of the gyms, you got to go play erikas challenge (different from last year where you had the card and got your name drawn.) i played against pokesensei and actually beat him (bless you, dark-dark-dark-psy-psy dark golduck!!) which i was not expecting to do. well, that's enough of talking for now. let's go look at more pictures!

pikachu and pichu were in attendance. gosh i bet those suits are hot. anyways, they all had people leading them around cause i'm certain that the visibility in that thing is about zero on a clear day.....i could make a 'two blind mice' joke here, but upon further consideration, i think i will not. :D oh wait...i did already....eep! hehe.

it was a pretty good turnout today! look at them go. i'm looking forward to tomorrow when we compete. it's going to be a lot of fun. the 11-14 and 15+ were the biggest turnout today. i think there might have been more in the 15+, but i'm not 100% sure. good thing we got that tournament back, huh?
